"The Jimmy" 3RD Annual Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation Surf Fiesta
The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation Surf Fiesta is a one of kind team
surf competition which brings together surfers, friends, and family
to remember and celebrate the life of Jimmy Miller. The Surf Fiesta
brings together surfers of different levels to compete in a team format
that fosters teamwork, encouragement and friendly competition. Five
person teams will consist of one surfer from each skill level from ripper
to beginner. All surfers will ride a variety of Jim's and other friends'
surfboards. This will be a great event so please come on down and check
it out.
When: Sunday October 21st: Check In 7:00am, First heat 7:30am.
Afterparty, auction and awards ceremony to follow at Sangria Restaurant,
68 Pier Ave. Hermosa Beach 6:30pm
Where: Rosecrans Ave, Manhattan Beach
Cost: $40 for sign-ups before October 17th. $50 after October
17th and for beach sign-ups (if space available) Cost includes contest
entry, T-shirt, breakfast, lunch and dinner at afterparty at Sangria.
There are only 160 spots available and last year we sold out so get
your entry forms in quick. Sign-ups are first come, first served. The
proceeds from the Surf Fiesta will be used to further the JMMF's efforts
to heal mental and physical illness through surfing and ocean related
activities.

We are looking for volunteers for the Surf Fiesta, prizes for the competitors, auction and raffle items for the after-fiesta dinner, and dollar sponsorships to underwrite the expenses of the event.
